Completely Underrated Netflix Super Satisfying Drama, No Rebirth, No Revenge, No Love Triangle, No Crazy Characters — Binge-Watching 10 Episodes Is Just Not Enough!

On this special day, I’m here to recommend a brand-new 2023 romance Korean drama to everyone.

It’s a Netflix original that dropped all episodes at once:

“Love Battle”

Starring Kim Ok-bin and Yoo Tae-woo, reportedly, this is their fourth collaboration.

If you want a pure romance story without rich family drama, no third-party love rivals, no fights and drama, and with a bit of爽感 (refreshing/satisfying feeling), then you must dive into this one.

The female lead, Ryu Mi-ran (played by Kim Ok-bin), is a ruthless character who is a lawyer by day but a “player” behind the scenes.

She broke up with her ex-boyfriend after they caught each other cheating at a hotel — funny thing is, the ex was holding another girl’s hand entering the hotel, while she had already “finished” her own affair.

Mi-ran has an almost pathological habit of “collecting men,” admitting she’s been ambiguous with over 100 men.

One day, she meets a popular male star, Nam Kang-ho (played by Yoo Tae-woo).

Kang-ho’s character is also quite twisted: he’s misogynistic to the point of taking medicine before filming kiss scenes with actresses, and secretly rinses his mouth afterward.

However, in public media, he always appears as a polite and warm gentleman.

Behind the scenes, he belittles women, claiming they dress nicely and become excellent just to increase their market value.

When Mi-ran, who hates such misogyny, overhears this, she immediately wants to “take down” this kind of man — someone she’s never pursued before.
